VOD Courses
Video-on-Demand courses offer a new way to train small groups. Courses present full-screen video programs in issue-focused segments which provides an excellent structure for group discussion.
The material can be presented without
interruption, or stopped between segments.The
program run between 10 and 25 minutes, depending on the course.
VOD courses are purchased for a specific period of time.
When buying a VOD course note the number of days for which access will be active.
For example, a ‘3 day’ license means you will be able to access the course for three days before it expires.
During that license period the group manager can organize multiple training sessions.
A 'training session' begins when the course is
accessed and ends when that session of the course material is completed. (Sessions can be
bookmarked as needed, then resumed at a later time, providing it is prior to
the expiration of course access.) Once a session is completed, a new session
can be initiated for a new group of participants. If the course is used for multiple training sessions, each session is identified by date and time of completion.
Simultaneous training sessions are not supported.
After purchasing a single seat to a VOD course
that seat can be assigned
either to the person who placed the order(the group manager),or assigned to an enrolled student.
The person assigned to the course is referred to as the ‘facilitator’.
The facilitator is notified of the course assignment automatically via email from FranklinCovey eCampus.
It is the
responsibility of the facilitator to organize the training session, keep track of
those in attendance, then add those names to the session certificate prior to
printing.
For each completed session the resulting certificate can list up to 15
participant names.
If the course is used for multiple sessions, each session is
identified by date and time of completion, This allows the facilitator
to add participant names according to the session each student attended.

VOD courses require a PC properly equipped with audio and video capabilities, and have Windows Media Player and Flash installed. VOD courses offer three levels of video image size/quality so as to be suitable for projection on most equipment.
A broadband Internet connection is necessary for proper performance.
